- Take 1 kg pears
- Prepare 1 1/2 cup sugar
- Take 2 cups water
- Take 1 lemon

Peel, seed and quarter the pears. Dip each quarter into lemon juice. Set the water and sugar to boil. Add pears , cinnamon and cloves.

- If you can't fit them all, remove the first batch when they get tender and place them in sterilized jars, then boil the rest.
- Add those to the jars as well and then add the syrup.
- Seal well and turn the jar over until it cools.
