- Get 1 cup corn syrup

- While waiting for the temp to rise, pull out a cookie sheet and spray with either regular cooking spray or something like Baker's Joy baking spray. This prevents sticking.
- Immediately after removing mixture from heat add in your flavoring and stir to incorpporate.
- If you're using a clear flavoring then you can add any food coloring you like, gels work best for a vibrant color. Gel food colorings can be found at Wal-Mart with the wedding decor. You can add the coloring to the mixture after the sugar is dissolved.
- Let candy sit until it is set. If you twist the cookie sheet the hardened candy will lift off easily, but leave it where it is for now. Take a hammer, meat mallet, or the handle of a butter knife and break it up into bite size pieces.
- Coat with about 2tbps powdered sugar in a bowl or collander. Store in an air tight container and enjoy.
- For super easy clean up I keep a tall cup of cold water to place my thermometer in before pouring up the mixture and I fill my pot with hot water, this will clean out any remaining mixture. You may have to rub a few places to make sure it all comes out. I have one special pot I use for nothing but this candy. Also the flavorings can be found at www.lorann.com and in grocery stores. You'll just have to use morw of the store bought flavorings, because the LoAnn brands are 1dram bottles and very concentrated where the store bought bottles are bigger and not as strong.
